After very careful study I have found Mormonism to be philosophically indefensible, being internally incoherent or undermining human reason and experience.
Mormonism Summary:

Is Mormonism Christian?:

Doctrinal Writings of Mormon Leaders:

More details for those wanting to go deeper:

There are many members of religious groups that have staked their eternal souls on their beliefs without searching the scriptures, reviewing the doctrinal writings of church leaders, studying to satisfy themselves that what they have been told is sufficiently rational and worth believing.

Ok, here we go again.
YES we are. In fact, the official name is The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Check out these websites for all your questions

Joseph Smith did not found the church Jesus Christ did. Joseph Smith only resored the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
BTW, most of the protestant religions were founded by men as was the Catholic church. it was the Romans who founded that church, that is why it is called the Roman Catholic church.
BTW Mary was a virgin.

I am very much a christian, I also joined the L.D.S. Church just 3 years ago now. I know for a fact that it is the true Church of Jesus Christ on earth today. How I know comes not from man but from God. The people are not perfect not even the founder of the Church was, but none the less he was picked by God to restore the church and bring forth a new book to be joined to the Bible. I hope you look into it some day and pray with faith and a open mind. I have seen the light.

No, they are not Christian. Some of the main differences are: Mary was not a virgin and that Jesus was born a mortal man. That God has goddess wives. Jesus and Satan are brothers. Jesus was married at the wedding in Cana. God himself was once a man and now is God, so man will become gods too. That the Bible is not the inspired Word of God. Also that it is incomplete. When forgiven you can never commit that sin again even in your thoughts. There is more, but you get the picture. This info is taken from The History of The Church.

No. Christians beleive in the Bible, and that Jesus was the Son of God. Once the Book Of Revelations (the last part of the bible explaining how the world will end) was written, Christians beleive that is the end of the bible.
Mormons beleive that an early american settler by the name of Joseph Smith (i no this is gonna sound stupid but some of the stuff in the bible is hard to beleiv aswell) was visited by an angel, who told him there were sacred scrolls burried in the forest, he supposedly found them, and translated the scriptures on these scrolls into "the bible part 2", mormons beleive in that bible and they beleive that Joseph Smith was the savior

No, they are not. They include the name of Jesus Christ in their bizarre theology, but what they teach about Him is completely incompatible with the most fundamental tenets of the Christian faith. Therefore they are not Christian. Not even close. The doctrinal differences are numerous, but for starters Mormonism is a polytheistic religion while Christianity is monotheistic. Mormonism is built upon the same lie that Satan used to bring about the downfall of the human race - that man, by his own efforts, can become a god.

No. Mormons do not share the basic doctrines of the Christian church, starting with God.
"For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee" (Isaiah 43:3).
"I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour" (Isaiah 43:11).
"Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God" (Isaiah 44:6).
Mormons teach that "we are saved by faith AFTER all we can do. That makes humans participate in the salvation. God says He's the only Savior. Mormons teach that there are multiple gods, but this one here is "whom with which we have to do." God says that there is no other god, ever, anywhere.
Actually, Mormonism is a paganized hermeticism, for that is the background of Joseph Smith Jr. That is what he knew, and that is what he promoted; that is what he invented. You can't give what you don't have. Joseph Smith Jr. couldn't give Christianity because he was never a Christian to begin with.
