According to the Passport Canada website, no. (but you do need your proof of identity) The example they give seems to address your question:
If I enter the US by land without a passport, will I require a passport to board a US domestic flight (i.e. Buffalo to Orlando)?
No, the new US passport requirement applies to passengers on international flights only. Passengers boarding US domestic flights are not legally required to have a passport, however, all passengers must show proof of their identity. We recommend you contact your airline to determine their identification requirements.

NO! You don't need a passport to fly domestically within the USA and there is no current plans to change that. A coworker in the office does it all the time - drives to Seattle and flies to Vegas. However, you should check with the airline when booking on what their ID requirements are. (Some did require foreigners have a passport a for awhile.)

That e book will shop you safer in terms of Canadian secure practices at the same time as interior the U.S. than the different, so in case you have been ever caught in some insurrection or terror plot or your Rights have been infringed in some way at the same time as interior the States, you have an id as a Canadian citizen with the checklist connections required to your united states of america that might assist you. seem at it as a good element!
