Not to the point that they could be clinically considered to have a diagnosable addiction.
One of the key things to keep in mind is whether the addiction is causing SIGNIFICANT disruption to the person's life (family/social relationships, school or work, health, etc.) Most people's Starbucks "addiction" wouldn't fall under this classification.

I'm a nurse and yes I do. I also think that people who decides not to let anything get the best of them are free from it. But yes from chocolate to shopping everyone has a weakness, that's being a human I guess.

Yes. I'm addicted to sleeping pills and its the only escape I count on.
My bf is addicted to pot.
But it can beyond drugs to other things like: shopping, exercising, sex, gambling

Yes, it could be money, TV, sex, drugs, computer, shopping, talking on the phone, caffeine, going to a certain place all the time, or HAVING to have a certain object with them at all times. Yes I believe they are.

no...nursey said that everyone has a weakness and that may be true...i have lots of weaknesses but i don't have any addictions...(the fine line being that i can control my weaknesses indefinitely...e.g. shopping, eating chocolate, etc.)
