It really depends on the type of face mask you are going to be using. Exfoliating can help prepare your skin for a mask IF the mask is not going to strip more skin or oils from your face. If you are using store bought cosmetics then check the directions before using both together or ask someone who is familiar with those products. If you are using homemade/natural cosmetics work on an exfoliating/nourishing combination.

Oh yes it will. Unless advised by the dermatologist to use one to calm or moisturise. Do not strip any more oils from your skin. Exfoliating does dry out your skin and applying a face mask will irritate it. Please do consult a qualified state registered dermatologist if you are really worried about your skin. Exfoliate gently with natural things like fine (not powdered) sugar, moisturise and keep your skin calm after that. Do not be harsh on your skin. It is your protection against a lot of predators.

insted of mask you can apply some natural ingredients
like
aloevera gel, or cucumber pulp
