Effexor can lead to alcohol intolerance.

Drink with caution if you chose to. You may get very intoxicated off just a little bit of alcohol.

Oh another heads up... Effexor is the devil. Just wait for the dreams to start.

Peter... Effexor is an SNRI .... serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. Not an SSRI, but thanks for playing.

No, No and No. Read the inserts that come with your medication. Drinking and taking any medications are dangerous, but especially something of this type. Go to the effexor website and look it up also. And alcohol is a depressant, which will only counteract the medication. This is what causes many young people to die prematurely mixing booze and medications. Please DO NOT DO THIS!!! The life you save may very well be your own!!!

Effexor is a SSRI anti-depressant ,meaning it is basically reordering your brain chemistry I wouldn't advise it. Most anti-depressants have an alcohol warning right on the prescription. You can check WebMD for any interactions.
