Hi I am posting this question on behalf of my friend. He's a Chinese who is willing to learn better English. He is currently living in Vancouver, where crowded with Chinese, and looking for a new place in Canada where he can find almost no Chinese. So he could have a better condition to learn English. It would be better if it is not too far from BC.

Thanks guys!

He doesn't have to go far to find places with low percentages of people who speak Chinese. Even moving to Langley or Maple Ridge will do the trick. Statistics Canada says most of Greater Vancouver has 10 to 20 percent Chinese, but those two places have less than 2 percent. Even Victoria has less than 4 percent (and they're mostly CBCs who can't speak Chinese).

For sure he should stay away from Toronto and its Markham and Richmond Hill suburbs, which have as high a percentage of Chinese as Vancouver. I suggest he choose which province he wants, then look at Stats Can population data for that province to see which cities have the lowest percentage of Chinese speakers.
