I see a very strong "correlation" between the movie "300" and the Marine Corps. I served with the Devil Dogs as a Navy Medic in Iraq. Those guys are awesome to see in action! Let me tell you! If you positively, absolutely need something annihilated, call the United States Marine Corps! They'll do it! OoooRAH! Semper Fi. :) Comments?

Uh, I may not get best answer for this, but here goes. The Spartans were army. The Persian warriors who got of the boats were actually Marines. In ancient naval warfare, enemy boats were often boarded by marines who would fight for control of the ship. Later, Marines were infantry dropped on shore by Navy. Therefore, you are wrong.

So why are Shi'a death squads still running around Iraq with impunity? How can Sunnis still commit suicide bombings with US Marines around, if they're so great at annihilating opposition?
