is it possible to develop back knots from excessive working out (5 hrs/day)?

You should see a doctor before that gets serious. Remember train smarter, injuries just eat up all your progress. And every exercise junkie knows that is heck not to be allowed to work out. eh?

I'd imagine so, especially if you're doing things that strain the back. Why would you work out 5 hours a day?
