Depends on how many people are going to be probably drinking/eating them. Not everyon'e going to want to have one, so you don't want to make 90 of them and have 60 of them left over for the next day! Think about the people that are coming and make only one per person (maybe two) and have something to supplement that. Last time I went to a party, there were lots of jello shots, but hardly anyone took one. (About 1/5 of the people.)

I hosted a 30th b-day party for my husband with over 300 people attending. I made 500 jello shots and they lasted 2 hours. We also had an open bar. A good rule of thumb would be 2 of each flavor per guest.

I LOVE Jello shots. I would say you need a ****-load !! I wouldn't use coconut vodka though. It may not really go with every flavor of jello. I've never used Skyy , but any vodka , or rum is ok { high proof is best } Do NOT substitute the "one cup boiling water " with alcohol .Boiling it will just evaporate the alcohol ! And if you use it cold or straight it will not disolve Jello ! Here it goes : Boil one cup water,in the meantime.open one small pack Jello and empty into small bowl with pour spout or at least 2 cup measurer with spout . When water boils pour into Jello. DO NOT put Jello into the boiling pot it will make it really sticky and you will have to wash it between every color . Stir until dissolved. Next , it will call for one cup cold water. Instead ,use half cup cold water ,and half cup alcohol. You can use a whole cup here instead of water if you want , but trust me you won't have to they will be plenty strong, and you can make more. I usually make a pitcher of ice water before I start so everything is ready where I need it .I use the little plastic cups with lids { you have to buy lids seperate but they are usually right with them .} I think they come in 2 and 4 oz. sizes. You can usually find them at a Factory Card Outlet , or a Paper Shack ,or something similar where you live, also the liquor store but they are always much more expensive, and you will need many .I usually make about 500 { about 2 packs of cups } but that is for about 10 of us ! But they are fun to make and super easy ! If you can boil 1 cup of water a bunch a times in a row, stir and pour ,then ya got it . Just rinse bowl and spoon between colors. Hope you have lots of room in the frig. Get rid of that pesky food, that gotta go !! That's why you need them to have lids so you can stack them in the frig. Also helps if you stack on trays or thick cardboard, or in containers then put in frig. so you don't have to make 1000 trips ! Hope youns have fun !!! Remember , friends don't let friends drive drunk !!!!!!!

Well we had about 50 people come to our party. We emptied out the fridge and filled it entirely with jello shots. I have no idea how many we made buy they didn't last long.

I'd go 300 minimum (ten each).

I have never been to a party that had left over jello shots & I've been to a few parties.

Make 60 (two per person approx) and serve beer and wine or just beer for those who want to drink more. You are not a bank, if they want to drink more they should bring some booze. Buy a keg or two (okay, buy two) and make as many shots as you have liquor.
