Beating is not allowed but refusing sex to her husband without any valid reason, is disliked and discouraged in Islam.
Muslim wife is permitted to delay her prayer and rush to her husband if he calls her even during her prayer.
It is said that angels curse that woman whole night if she sleeps refusing her husband's desire.
But holy Qura'n has mentioned nothing about it.
