Have it either hauled or get what is called. A drive-away sticker or temp plate. Does NY allow time on a title to drive it home? If not then your doomed to either doing it legally or taking a walk on the wild side.

You can rent a tow-bar from either U Haul or Ryder. It attaches easily and if you drive normally, you should not have any problems.Providing the vehicle that is doing the towing is capable and can handle the hills. But you should check the tow bar often to be sure that all the connections are tight.I have done this a thousand times. If you can afford it, some towing outfits will flatbed it for you. This can be very expensive.
