If Poe disappeared from existence, the universe would also disappear.
Actually, though, if it were possible for Poe to disappear, the universe would not exist in the first place. So there.

Hypothetically speaking, according to the Scriptures in the BIBLE, GOD is omnipresent and therefore impossible to disappear from existence. I think it would be more interesting to realize that also according to the BIBLE, man was created in GOD's image. Therefore, man is an image of GOD on Earth. In conclusion, GOD is among us Gods and Goddesses here on Mount Olympus, but has not revealed HIMSELF yet. I beg the pardon of all the females (Goddess), but GOD is a man. Science has advanced in leaps and bounds since the days of Christ, yet even today we can not create artificial life. Man, on the other hand, with a few quick strokes can fill a test tube with life. (under a microscope you can see the little suckers moving around)
BONUS POINT: What came first the chicken or the egg? Neither, without a rooster fertilizing the egg you don't have life
SUPER BONUS: Also according to the Bible a place without the presence or existence of GOD is known as Hell, and as that rock song sings "Hell's not a bad place to be."

I really like your question, but since I can not, in honesty, claim a god as my own, my answer will necessarily be a conjecture; I hope that you won't mind. Hypothetically then, let's say that there was a God (the one and only?) who created the cosmos and has been around ever since doing whatever it is that he does; but now suddenly, he has realized that this universe is not going to work out well (a logical deduction to judge from events here on Earth!), so he decides to abandon his malfunctioning experiment! Here is the result: If God has been necessary to support his creation all these eons of its expansion and evolution, his decision to withdraw his sponsorship will effect the immediate and catastrophic collapse of entire cosmos. That will be a necessity as he will doubtlessly want to begin again, having learned from his current failure the method of creativity which will incite the ultimate and ideal universe! We, however, are eternally lost unless he grants us the opportunity to reincarnate in our perfected states at the junctures of time when we entered these lives...

Actually according to my dogma, my god did disappear for some unknown reason and the universe is doing just fine without him.

the only god that should disappear is Allah because people that claim to worship him actually don't. -- like when they go into a mosque and take their shoes off but it OK to bring the machine gun in. -- and what about all the killing of innocents they do with body bombs when he said Thou shalt not kill!. Religion is supposed to be about love and peace not a cause to have vendettas and bloody disagreements.
