Pro: It seems to be the thing you want right now
Pro: It is cute, but so are necklaces!

Con: It REALLY hurts
Con: It can get really infected (mine was for 3 years!!)
Con: It will leave a hole in you
Con: It gets stuck on your pants and yanks really hard

I have had mine for about 10 years, and the only reason I still have it is because I went through so much pain for the darn thing, that there's no way It was all for nothing! I don't even realize it's there anymore, and noone ever sees it anyway. But I understand you wanting to try something new and cute. Just remember, if you are having trouble with it healing, put in a gold stud or gold hoop. That's what my problem was. Good luck!

well, pros are: it looks cool..but considering you are only 15, i'm not sure how comfortable your parents are letting you show off your belly.

Cons are: it can get infected. It will hurt. And, if you take it out..you will most likely have a scar.

I'm 18 and i got my belly button pierced and it hurt worse than my tattoos. It's not worth the pain just to show it off when you wear bathing suits. and it only looks good on really skinny people. so i took mine out. but it didn't leave a scar. so thats good.

i would find out what your dad has against it. there aren't really a whole lot of pros or cons, other than it's your opinion. most people who have or want them think they look really cool, but of course if you didn't you wouldn't want it. talk to both of your parents apart and together and try to get your mom to help you convince your dad.

well im in the same situation. my gdad (who acts as my dad) is very old fashioned. he wouldnt even let me get my ears pierced! so i told my gran, but i didnt tell gdad. he eventually found out n had a hissy fit but he got over it.

just get it done, make sure ur mum knows, n just keep it hidden from ur dad.

=)

speaking as a parent, i would be very upset with one of my children if they modified their body in any way without my consent. if you do this, your parents, particularly your dad, would have trust issues with you.
