I loved it. Many years ago, I bought an old book at a secondhand store called The Magic of Believing. I thought it was about something else, but it turned out to be about using your mind power and your thoughts to create your life. It was written over 60 years ago and the author gave very specific examples of what you should do to make this work for you. I decided to give it a test, so I entered a sweepstakes to win a brand new car and then every day until the day they were to call the winner, I did everything the author of this book said to do. It wasn't easy. I mean not as easy as a lot of the critics of The Secret seem to think. It was a lot more than just "asking the Universe" for a car. Anyway, by the day of the drawing for the car, I just knew I was going to win. I can't explain it, but I felt very strongly that there was just no way I could NOT win it. Lo and behold, I won and when I went to the dealership to pick up the car, the dealer congratulated me and told me that people were coming in to his dealership and taking whole pads of entry forms, filling every one of them out and entering them ... and that was just in one dealership! When he asked how many entry forms I filled out, he was stunned! So yes, I know without a doubt it works, but it's not as easy as a lot of people think ... at least not at first.

I dont believe it. While I believe in the power of positive thinking I dont think the whole "your thoughts send a frequency into the universe" thing is true. They spend suspiciously little time discussing the science of it, and rely on theatrics and drama to entice the viewers to believe in their "secret"

It's nothing new! Louise L. Hay has been saying this stuff for years, and I'm sure that other famous writings basically say the same thing... Oprah just reaches that yuppy-crowd, and all of a sudden it's a big deal...

its funny i actually liked and agreed with most of its teachings
but i felt that i got more thorough teachings in the lds church on its beliefs
the church teaches us that we choose our own destiny a spiritual paths by the choices that we make. if we decide to good things goodness happens if we do bad things
badness happens
good thoughts lead to good things bad thoughts lead up to bad things.
its the very reason very few lds have mental health and physical health problems
they teach us how to put only good things into our bodies and blessings will follow as it is stated in daniel chapter 1
and other scriptures as well
im not going to go into too deep on this one
if u like ill finish in email forms

I have not seen it but have read and heard enough about it to know that it is nothing new. Just a rehashing of principles that have been expounded upon time and time again under different guises.

It's the same lie that satan has used since the Garden of Eden, "you shall be as gods". It is God, not us, who controls the cosmos.
