Yes, parrot, in my 37 years of being an atheist, mixing with many god-believers, I have not been presented any evidence that supports the existence of a god (let alone more than one). Most honest god-believers claim that it is faith that leads them to believe, which I have no arguments against.
Some very immature god-believers I have come across claim knowledge of god (and its existence, by implication). When I ask for the basis, and the evidence, they claim several subjective encounters or coincidental occurrences in times of emotional and/or physical trauma which could be explained by numerous other causes.
I find that mature god-believers acknowledge it is faith that is the basis for their beliefs, and that it is the immature god-believers that claim knowledge.

Actually you can have both, faith is the basis of Christianity,
HEBREWS 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. but yet we can see evidence through certain scientific facts that has been proven.
For instance we know the Earth is round; it was in the 14th centurie we found this out, the Bible say this in ISAIAH 40:22.
The first 3 books and last 3 books of the BIBLE contain info not found in any other book concerning creation, unless it is directed back to the Bible.
Also for reference, 2 CORINTHIANS 4:18, While we look not at things which are seen,But at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal,But the things which are not seen are eternal.
We can feel the wind and know it is there even though we can't see it.

Anyone who says there's evidence for a god is either lying or just plain ignoring the obvious. There is no evidence that a god is or ever has existed. Period. So faith is your answer. Plain and simple. Faith trumps reason and logic for most people. Which is a sure sign of the state of education in our country.

Even with the evidence of design (seen and unseen) supporting the reality of a magnificent Designer, you still need faith. First you need faith because the Designer or Creator has revealed His existence and his purpose. But there are also competing false philosophies and ideas in religion. By faith you show that you believe and trust in the God who Created us and revealed Himself and His purpose to us.

Faith is the evidence of things not seen (Bible Verse). So if you need evidence you don't believe in God. So that verse prooves that you do need faith in God (Jesus). People cannot choose your faith for you, you need to choose the way you believe. But even if you had all the evidence in the world for whatever religion, even if for christianity then you still wouldn't believe. Because you need faith to believe in God.

There is no logical answer to religion. You have to be brainwashed into thinking the way that other people think. You can't logically prove it...just like you can't logically proved that Moses split the Red Sea. I don't know if he did or didn't. Some people think he did...but I have a hard time having faith in such extreme tails!
Think what you want....but there is no logical evidence of God!

You are under a false impression, which is typical for most humans. Satan can't win in a fair fight, so he proposes these silly lies, such as "faith" not being "knowledge."
"For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day" (2 Timothy 1:12). There's the difference. I KNOW Jesus. Therefore, I believe what He says. I don't have faith instead of knowledge; I have faith because of knowledge. The evolutionist and atheist are the ones who have faith in spite of knowledge because their positions of godlessness are not defensible. (All they really do on this site is insult me; they don't marshal an actual argument for not trusting God.) I have faith in God because of the great amount of evidence that His word is reliable and worthy of trust. What, you think the God who created brains didn't expect us to use them?

The creation of the universe from nothing is evidence of God, the creator. A personnal relationship with God does not require faith. It is right there in front of you every day.

Many people will argue that the complexity of the universe is evidence. But that just raises the question of who created God.
Really though, there is no evidence. You just have to think about it yourself and see if it makes sense for there to be a God.
Personally, I tend to think there is a God, or at least a spiritual aspect to all existence. But I don't really think there is a lot of divine intervention in this world. People say there is. But they are definitely seeing something I am not.
Hope this makes sense...at least somewhat.
