Could be. I think it is also the only nation without a native language all it's own.

Yes
On June 20, 1868, a proclamation signed by the Governor General, Lord Monck, called upon all Her Majesty's loving subjects throughout Canada to join in the celebration of the 1867 anniversary of the formation of the union of the British North America provinces in a federation under the name of the Dominion of Canada on July 1st. The name of the new country was taken from Psalms 72:8, thus establishing the fact that God's hand was recognized in establishing the country.

No, Canada was not created non-violently, as there are many instances of violent acts in the building of Canada (French/British/Americans/Natives/Metis....). As for your assumption that the railroad built Canada, partially correct, as the railroad was used to end the Nortwest Rebellion.

It is the only nation created non-violently by the building of the railroads.
It has helped Canada a lot.

It might be a good idea to talk to the remaining Native Americans , or the families of French Canadiens who were forcibly resettled Arcadia, from before you assume that the creation of Canada was "nonviolent."

No, the Indians in Canada were "eradicated" as well. Of course, then it was by the French and British. And of course, the French and British fought back and forth over it.

canada was created as a result of american invasion, in 1812, and the threat of another invasion following their civil war. and the treatment of the natives, while not nearly as genocidal as in the US, could not be deemed non-violent.

Canada was never invaded and never had a civil war unlike USA. Thus, it was created with no violence.
