It's a urban myth... False, Phony, Bunk, Lies, Full of it...
The way hogs are raised, slaughtered and sent to market the trichinella "worm" has been eliminated from pork.
Also, looking at the CDC website, there have been no reported cases of trichinosis in the US that are attributed to eating "mass produced" pork.

Coke and Pepsi contain phosphoric acid.
Mild acids are used to tenderize meats (this is why marinades contain vinegar (acetic acid) or citrus juice (citric acid).
Phosphoric acid is very strong, with a pH of 1-2 (which makes it a hazardous waste under EPA regulations).
I assume that your experiment turns the pork to mush. This would happen with any meat.
The question should be why do you drink colas!

Once again, this is not real. Maybe in rotten unprocessed meat, maybe??????
\ However, my aunt makes ham on every holiday on which she pours coca cola. It simply flavors the ham and I assure you, no worms come out. I am for real. IF I thought this was true I wouldn't eat pork. And I love bacon.

Interesting...I will have to try it . BUT, I do know that if you cook a pot roast in a crock pot all day with a can of coke, and a packet of onion soup mix, it turns out mightly yummy, as the coke acts as a meat tenderizer.

I have seen it done. Also, try putting a penny in Coca Cola overnight or longer and see what happens!
