but they dont accept atheists who say that he doesnt exist because they dont feel him in their hearts or anywhere else?
is god maybe not so powerful since his presence cannot be felt by everybody? I mean i can say that i believe in god (words are just words) but i dont think that would change the fact that i dont feel him in my heart, mind, stomach , feet or anywhere else

The evidence is there if you are willing to see it. I don't see how it can be ignored. The second law of thermodynamics go against any possibility of evolution. Just how everything comes into place for our existance on this planet requires a designer. Couldn't happen by chance.

But what the feeling in the heart is all about is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit when you accept Jesus as your savior and the burden of all your moral failures are lifted off of you. You are clean before God and have been restored into a relationship with Him that isn't possible by your own efforts.

You want evidence of God? Think of your worst nightmare. The reason it doesn't come true is because God is still working in this world and loves you.

Satan believes in God but is still doomed for his transgressions against the God of all creation. Hell was made for him not for people. But people chose to go there when they chose a life, including eternal, without God. All you need to do is receive the free gift of salvation that Jesus went to the cross for, the offer is always open, and make Him Lord of your life. There is a little faith involved but that seems to be the way God wanted it.

Start reading the Gospel of John and ask God to open your eyes to Himself. He will do it.

If I meet someone and go on a date and there are no sparks does that mean I can never find love in someone?

When you meet someone and feel that "feeling" in your gut (attraction) does that make that person who gave you that feeling more "powerful" than the other who you didn't find attractive?

I as a Christian do not say my proof God exists is that I feel him, that would be a poor argument. If you don't accept him you WONT feel any of his presence...... If you don't believe or have faith then you NEED to SEE to believe.

My proof is all around me. That is all I need. Can't speak for everyone. I only argue the point that I have just as much "scientific" or archaeological evidence proving his existence as you say you have to prove he doesn't exist.

What I feel in my heart is my own personal experience with my maker. You would have to find that for yourself.

But to question his power is ridiculous and lacks understanding of how you feel his presence.

God Bless

Unfortunately, we don't have emperical knowledge that God exists. Go ahead and try. We can create carefully crafted arguments to outwit you and others why God exists. But, would that do anything to make you feel better?

It may not be for everyone, but when you look at the larger picture people believe or want to believe that there is a brilliant concious behind this universe. We want to believe that there is a continuation from this life to another life after death. Deep down this is a longing.

No one can give you the ultimate argument for God existing. But, it is rational to believe that there is a God. A faith in something greater than ourselves is OK. Be careful in spinning your wheels trying to prove God or trying to find a feeling that also proves his existence. It is OK to believe in athiesm, too, if you want. But, I hope and pray that what stands in your way of trust will not prevent you from having a joyous life of faith in a God who is there.

I am a Christian so don't misunderstand what I say next. Be careful of following Christians or the example of Christians. Be careful of me. But, seek God with your mind and seek God with your heart. Tell God your doubts, tell him your anger, tell him anything you want. God can take it. Someday or sometime you might hear an inner voice that tells you how wonderfully made you are. You have value, you are someone of worth, you are loved. This is because of God.

That's because your mind is closed to the possibility. You can`t come on your own you must be convicted of your sin and that is the Holy Ghost. He will come to you and he knows what it will take to make you think and put conviction in your heart. Then if you turn God down then you go your merry way until that conviction The Holy Ghost comes to you again. This can happen a lot or not,but there will come a time when Gods Spirit will not come and then you will never again have the opportunity to come to salvation ,you won`t feel the conviction but you will feel empty, some where down deep you will know that you are lost forever.

look at the natural things that surrounds you, is it just a coincidence? We are all given the right to choose what we want to do in this earth as long as we live, God give us our own free will, it is then our decision if we would like to be in the light or in darkness, life or in death, curse or in grace, But God suggests us and even commanded us to search for the truth in order to obtain eternal happiness which even this world cant give. God commanded us not to believe in every spirit , but test every spirit in order to found out whos telling the truth and teaching the right doctrines and gospel of christ. If you were feeling this some kind of desires to seek God, maybe its a sign that God is calling you! feel free to E-mail me if you want to ask me some follow up questions regarding this matter.

Remember, God invites everyone to dwell in his church, the true church which was established by christ himself way back 2,000 yrs ago, its now up to you, if you will respond to this special invitation made by God himself.

How evolution explains reality: Primacy of matter or primacy of consciousness ?

Since nothing means non-existence, something must have always existed. This means that a first cause that was not caused by anything must have existed all the time in the past, in the present, and since it is indestructible, it will also exist in the future. There can only be two possibilities for explaining the cause and from which all that we see around us is the product: Either it is MATTER in the universe which has always existed and from which life evolved with ever increasing levels of consciousness; or it was a thoughtful cosmic CONSCIOUSNESS that has always existed and had the will and power to create matter and the universe.

1) If matter existed before consciousness, matter is the “first cause” of everything.
2) If consciousness existed before matter, consciousness is the “first cause” of everything.

PREMISE #1
The premise that matter always existed and from which consciousness has derived with the development of life does not contradict what we observe in reality. In nature there is no example of a conscious entity that does not have a physical body. All living organisms, from simple to complex, display a level of consciousness consistent with their complexity. An insect has a certain consciousness. It cannot be conscious of the world as a dog is, but it is conscious enough to live its kind of life; a dog has a certain consciousness, but it can’t be conscious of the world as humans are. The complexity of the physical neurological system of each organism gives rise to the kind of consciousness that an organism can possess. In nature we observe that there is no such a thing as consciousness standing alone capable of creating a suitable physical organism to inhabit, but that each physical organism has the genetic properties to develop to adulthood and one of those properties is to be conscious of the world in which it lives. Therefore, we can say, consciousness is the faculty of living matter for acquiring the knowledge necessary to survive.

PREMISE #2
The premise that consciousness could ever exist independent of matter or of a physical body is not observable in reality. This premise requires that we imagine the existence of thinking without a thinker. Because in all our experience we can observe that the process of thinking, wishing, hoping, loving, planning, etc. are all activities dependent on the existence of a physical neurological organ, the brain, we contradict reality when we reverse cause and effect. Premise #2 is logically invalid because it purports that somehow it is possible for thinking and planning, which are activities of a certain advanced kind of consciousness, to exist without a physical brain, and in fact that such consciousness can exist apart from physical matter and even have the power to be the source of matter! To believe in God, therefore, one must reverse cause and effect. Instead of saying that from matter we might derive life and consciousness, one says that living consciousness can exists without matter and that such consciousness exists somewhere, outside of the universe, with the power to decide whether to create matter or not.

If you want God, you have to open your heart to him. God's not going to make you accept him. *lol*

And if you don't, that's ok with me too. It's your life, and you should do what you want, and make your own decisions.

And just for the record, this Christian, accepts whatever Athiests are out there. We may not have the same personal views on religion or spirituality, but that's ok. We don't have to.

He doesn't exist for everyone. Only those who choose to accept Him and Jesus.
I accept that atheists don't know of his existence. Everyone is free to believe or not believe.
It is up to you, not me.
