I had never heard of that before, but it is definatly interesting. I wonder if it has anything to do with being there in the holy city, and feeling something so powerful you are led to study so much you have no balance in your life and that is what causes this psychosis. I know a woman who has similar issues, but was instead diagnosed as bi-polar. I am uncertain if she has ever been to Jerusalem, but ... wow, that would really explain a lot.

Thanks for posting more, I am really eager to learn more on this subject. :)

So some people get excited about being somewhere or doing something. Does that make it psychotic or delusional? Let's think of a few more... " Disneyland Syndrome", "Superbowl Syndrome", "Christmas Syndrome", "Stadium Concerts Syndrome".. just as absurd! People alter their normal behaviors at these places and during these events as well. Jerusalem is a spiritual center for many religions and beliefs. Why are you trying to single out Christians, when undoubtedly others do the same things?

The regulation of Moses became into meant to be conscious to Jews, to not Gentiles, the situation on the Council of Jerusalem became into no count if Gentiles necessary to transform to Judaism (consisting of the quite painful bit) to be classed as Christian. because of the fact the OT would not say that Gentiles would desire to stick to Mosaic regulation, it became into not rejected.

It's mental illness. I agree with those who said that these people were mentally ill before they came to Jerusalem.
