I have to write a play for school and, I don't really know the way to write it. I looked on websites but they require regestration. Textbooks, they say "the writing prosses has a begging, middle and end". I just don't know how I am supposed to write this at all.

A play, I am actually putting the finishing touches on my own. The first thing you have to do is find a base or a story to start it off. Then once you figure that out, make sure you specify characters within the play and descriptions, then set out to writing. Easy way to read a play is if its like this:

(2 women walking along a dark corridor in the house at night)-Give stage direction, so your actors know where to position themselves

Sara:
Sandy:
Sara:

then put it as if its almost a game of ping-pong, back and forth talking between the people within the scene. At least, this is how I did mine

Hope I helped more than confused!!

Have different acts. ACT I, ACT II, etc. then put down people's names followed by a colon. Ex.
ACT I
Setting: The play takes place...

Molly: I don't know what I am going to....
Jeffrey: I think we should...

lame, i know, but you prob. get the idea. good luck.
