Winky is a very Technical fighter. Uses good strategy, but this would not be enough to hold hagler off him. Hagler would brutalize him and knock him out.

Although not as quick as Sugar Ray Leonard, Winky Wright is a great defensive fighter and I think would look to frustrate Marvellous Marvin Hagler, the man whom I rate as the greatest middleweight of all time. Hagler is a very fierce and determined fighter and would definetly pressure Wright, and look to force Wright from ring centre and onto the ropes. Hagler's aggressiveness would be the big difference. Also I don't think Winky is strong enough to land enough effective punches on Hagler to keep him off of him. This would be a good fight and I believe that over 12 rounds, it would go the distance with Hagler winning by unanimous decision. Maybe 10 rounds to 2.

Great fight, in terms of skills and not excitement. This fight proves to be potentially boring since Wright is defensively oriented. This is a classic between a puncher and a defender. Hagler packs a powerful punch. Wright may have good defense, but not enough for Hagler. Hagler has the edge in power. "Winky" will have an edge in defense and stamina, since most of his fights have gone the distance. They will pretty much be equal in chin.
I like Hagler in this fight. The early rounds will be slow paced action with both men feeling out the other. Hagler will definitely look to exchange with Wright. Wright will hide in his shell and probably counter. I see the middle rounds having more flair with the action heating up. In the later rounds, Hagler would have figured out how to penetrate Wright's defense. If this would be a 12-rounder, I see Wright surviving and Hagler winning via unanimous decision. If this would be a 15-rounder, I see Hagler winning via a knockout in the 14th.

Wright is an outstanding fighter particularly defensively. Hagler is one of the all time greats however and he would have proven it against Winky! Hagler would have cut off the ring and got Winky in the ropes and hit him with a barrage of punches, Winky would have eluded many of the punches but would not have enough power to keep Hagler off of him. Hagler is too strong and too good of an all around fighter for Winky to beat. Winky would lose by unanimous decision in this fight to the great Hagler.

This one is going to go against the grain of most. Hagler wouldn't ever be in any danger of being KO'd by Wink, but would still come out of this one looking all the world like a frustrated fighter. Winky has the defensive skills to decision Marvin, and Hagler, like just about everyone Wink has fought wouldn't have been able to land enough solid shots to get to Wink. I gave Wright the decision over Vargas, even though the judges didn't, and honestly though Winky did enough to decision Taylor. I think Wink would fare just as well against Hagler. In a perfect world, with no politics or bias Winky Wright is today's pound for pound best all around boxer.
The Judges finally get one Wright.
Wink by split decision.

Hagler wins a snore fest as Winky won't mix it up with the Marvelous one. Hagler 12 rounds to 3.
