Over the last 2 years my downstairs neighbors(condo) have complained 3 times that our shower leaked water on them. the first 2 times i said call me the next day and ill turn on the shower to see if i see any water leaking, well they never called. This past sunday after my wife gets out of the shower, the neighbor comes up and says u leaked on us again and its time you call a plumber or else. I let her in to show her there was nothing visible on our end. I went to the maitnence guy at our asscociation, and talked to a plumber friend. Both of them said its their responsiblilty to call the plumber since they have the visible problem. However, if the plumber determines it my fault im liable, I'm ok with that, But these people have not called the maintenece guy or a plumber, just called me and complained. i said well im not calling and get charged a evaluation fee, when theres a possibilty it aint me, after all im going on thier word that there is even a leak. So what should i do?

well the maintenence guy said he was going to tell them nicely that they should call the plumber since we have no visibility of a problem on our end, but when i heard him tell the neigbor(eaves dropping) i heard our neighbor freaking out saying "thats f***** bull****" the guys real nasty so i guess this wont go good either way. I think they know we are first time homeowners and want us to believe we should call the plumber, but then again i dont want to get charged for an assessment visit to find out its not my prob. I have a kid, wife and back in school, i have no extra money to blow.
