It doesn't help with muscle mass but it does help elongate your muscles and keep yourself limber and will alleviate your soreness in less time than if you didn't stretch at all.
Stretching after a work out and the day after will help you avoid soreness and injury in the long run.

Stretching AND aerobics gets the blood flowing better thru the muscles, of which makes them heal faster. If you do not do weights until AFTER the soreness is gone, your body responds by making your muscles bigger and stronger.

It fairly relies upon is it a lifeless discomfort it somewhat is stressful? Or is it an extremely undesirable discomfort that makes you the two opt to cry or scream? If it would not harm too extraordinarily undesirable, stretching is in all probability a stable theory (exceedingly in case you will paintings out using fact it keeps you from ripping your muscle tissues whilst doing swifter paintings outs). whether, if it is so undesirable which you're feeling which you won't be able to pass it, you would be able to desire to sit down down back off of it till it heals and/or see a doctor interior the period in-between.

Generally, yes. It doesn't really build muscle mass. It just makes sure you don't hurt yourself and that you give yourself a chance to heal a bit. Funnily enough, you should do non-strenuous exercises. Make sure you warm up and down properly.

Streatching the muscles is great! You elongate the muscles and release toxins that built up after you workout! Remeber not to put heat on them...put cold since it releases the toxins...and drink TONS of water to flush them out!
