It all depends on how off/on you are with the healthy eating and how many calories you are consuming weekly vs. how many calories you burn weekly (or monthly, however you want to look at it)

For example: You've been eating very healthfully for 10 days in a row and working out almost every day. On the 11th day, you eat junk all day and don't exercise. You will still have overall weight loss because overall, you burned more calories than you consumed in the total 11 days. If this is a regular pattern for you, then it means that you have 2-3 days a month where you consume extra calories and don't burn any extra calories. 2-3 days a month isn't that big of a deal. If you do this 10-15 times a month, you probably won't see any weightloss. It's just like draining the bath tub half way then putting the stopper in and refilling it.

The only good thing about this is that you will be more fit, even if you don't loose weight because you are working your muscles.

If you're having a hard time loosing weight, I would suggest Bob Greene's best life diet. It's not really a diet, but an easier way to transition from eating junk food to all healthy foods- that way you don't slip and have a day where you just pig out on junk.

Yo-yo dieting is not healthy for the body or mind. A consistent diet is the best solution to this problem. I would also suggest taking smaller portions of your favorite foods when you just can't resist!
