This would be a great Match GMAN. Both fighters are tough. I would have to give the slight edge to La Motta though. Only because of the good fights he had with Sugar Ray Robinson.

Interesting matchup. Hagler is obviously one of the all time greats with good boxing skills, punching power, and an iron jaw. LaMotta doesn't have nearly the punch of a Hagler but is very tough and strong. He is known for having an iron jaw too. I think that Hagler would dictate this fight with his superior boxing skills and would land a lot of hard punches on LaMotta who would keep coming at Hagler landing some good shots himself especially to the body. I believe that in a 15 round fight that Hagler wins 10 of the rounds for a unanimous decision victory.

Great match up, Two irresistible forces collide in a slug fest. Neither fighter would consider a backwards step, but Hagler had clear advantages with superior reach and boxing skills. LaMotta would have taken too much punishment from Hagler to ever KO Marvin before Hagler showed why Mugabi and Hearns crumbled. LaMotta didn't have the skill Duran did, and wouldn't have been able to go the distance in this one.

Hagler 77 percent KO's. LaMotta 28 percent KO's. LaMotta beat a one armed Cerdan for 10 rounds until Cerdan couldn't fight any longer. Hagler by decision because LaMotta had a good chin. LaMotta would later wish he didn't have a good chin because he is going to have bruises for a month.
