Justin,

Handgun OWNERship is unrestricted, no permit or license required. Open carry is unrestricted in most public places and is generally accepted. Concelaed carry licenses are granted to residents on a 'shall issue' basis, with automatic recognition for nonresidents with licenses from other states. So far as vehicle carry and transportation, firearms (rifles, shotguns and handguns) may be carried loaded and in plain view...loaded handguns may be carried in the vehicle glove compartment.

Kentucky also has a preemption law that makes all state firearms laws uniform across the state...that means it's illegal for a town or municipality to pass firearms laws more restrictive than state law.

No, you cannot even possess a handgun until you are 21. This is a Federal law.

No, the age is 21 and at 21 you can also take the test to get the concealed carry permit.
