she needs to be honest with your parents. if they can't accept then that is their issue. if she isn't honest from the get go then there could be problems later in life for her.

Well, if you're parents are open minded about sexuality and will be supportive, then just spit it out. If your parents are religious or just plain ol' biggots, it's best not to tell until she's able to support herself. Yes, it does happen that parents hear these things and go nuts! Kick children out of the house, beat them, send them to camps to try and teach them to be heterosexual and all sorts of things. So, maybe you should make some comments infront of your parents about homosexuality to help your sister out things like "I think gay people should be able to get married" and let your sister observe and gage what she should do. Sometimes it's best never to tell parents what's going on in our lives.

My very best friend confided in me that he is gay. This was about three years ago. I was the first one he told because he needed someone to be there for him, I had my arms and my mind wide open. And I love him as a friend for telling me something that he was scared of being rejected for. He's an awesome guy! If you feel ready to tell your parents about your preference, be yourself - there is no rhyme or reason you have to disclose - it's you. Be true to who you are! *smiles*

If you are saying your gay then thats great you are ready to tell your parents. I have a son he is straight but knows if he came to me and said he was gay i would love him the same. Tell your parents how you feel and that this is you. I dont believe the b.s. people choose thats bull that is how a person is born straight, gay, bi etc. It may be a shock to them but they will accept it in time.
