Don't waste your money at that age, they WON'T know the difference. A nice adult-oriented BBQ at your house would be much more enjoyable for all concerned and less stressful for baby, who really has no idea what is going on.

Most likely, your one-year old won't care where the party is. My advice is to invite friends and family to your place this year. There will be PLENTY of years for fun birthday parties with themes and at different settings (such as the zoo or aquarium). If your one-year old has friends, they probably won't care either about the party. They won't remember it. If you're willing to shell out the cash for a party they won't remember, then the zoo and aquarium are great ideas. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Zoo or aquarium is for older kids . . .
A one year old won't remember the party 2 days later.
Have it at a park with lots of kids swings. (or were you having mostly adults over for this ?)

I'd stick with at home too, little ones can get overwhelmed by all of the people that attend the party and the worst thing is when the guest of honor is overwhelmed and over tired from all of the excitement. If you are still intent on a party, have it at a local park near the playground, that is always fun! Good luck and congratulations on the big "1"! :)

Both those are good--Home parties are nice for one-year olds because they don't really get into the events/objects at these other places--plus those who attend--sometimes parents with young ones themselves--can get some rest more easily--it's easier to have nap times in a home environment..just my opinion..you can always have a theme--have clowns or Dora or someone come over, etc..but for really young kids--I think home parties are good...Otherwise--a favorite retaurant--etc..I think Chuck E Cheese is too chaotic for a 1 year old--ditto for most places...

Have it at home, it will still be fun! It is not going to be a big deal to him, he is not old enough. Have a party at home with your family and friends. Save all the fun stuff like that for when they are older and will enjoy it more!

Yes, in the backyard with a picnic table, family pets, close relatives and a barbecue for the adults. He won't ever remember except for the photos. Save your moolah for future memorable occasions for him. Oh and don't forget the camera and fabo birthday cake.

Home. The one-year old isn't going to want to go anywhere. Yet.
