my face tends to get dry and flaky in the colder months...i heard using cold water rather than warm water will help reduce some of the dryness..does that work..if not what else could i do besides mosturizer (i already use that as well)

Yes, colder water does work. I take semi-cold showers all the time, and my skin is a lot less dry than it was when I used to take steaming hot ones. Heat dries out your skin. Cold water can also help make your hair healthier and shinier since hot water can dry out your hair as well.

my dermatologist told me to drink (or sip) a big glass of water every 2 hours, at least. Use moisturizer twice a day. It helped me, hope it works for you too.
