^It doesn't have to be that complicated. Just put the coconut in a large bowl, add a few drops of food coloring, and mix well with a spoon. The color will spread out. Then just let it air dry.

Pour the amount of coconut you need into a baggie. Add green food coloring, a few drops at a time & shake well. Add more food coloring until you reach the color you want. Pour onto a plate & allow to dry. It's really very easy to do!

Food coloring. The easiest way to do it is to pour the coconut into a plastic zip top bag, add a few drops of green food coloring, then seal and shake until coated. Add more coloring until you reach the desired color.

Yeah I would try to add food color. Put your coconut in a zip bag then add a few drops of food coloring shake around. then you can add more coloring to it until you get the color you want. you might want to let it set for a little while to dry, unless you don't mind green hands.

GREEN COCONUT NESTS

1 lb. green chocolate coating
1 (7 oz.) pkg. flaked or shredded coconut
Water

In the top of a double boiler, melt coating over hot, not boiling water. Add coconut and mix together well. Add very small amounts of water to coconut mixture until it thickens enough to hold shapes.
Form into small nests by making mounds and then hollowing them out with the bowl of a spoon. Fill nests with jelly beans or molded chocolates. Makes 8 nests.

I do this a lot at Christmas when making cakes -- put the cocoanut in a Tupperware container along with a few drops of green food coloring. Put the lid on and shake it. It colors the cocoanut evenly and fast!

You can use liquid colouring, or the paste stuff, but, if you use paste, you have to mix it with a touch of water to make it spread throughout the coconut better.

just add a tiny bit to your coconut, and mix it. the easiest way, is to put it in a ziplock baggie, and smoosh the bag with your hands. Just keep adding the colour until you get to the colour you're looking for.

Good luck!
