Grand Am hands down not only is it newer, lower mileage but as far as only a Mazada to Pontiac comparision on the conventional engine styles the pontiac is more duarable...

Cheaper on part to fix as well... in 1995 when the luxury tax hit automobiles of $30,00 or more it had an unexpected and unpredicted effect on the price of import parts period even the cheap non $30,000 models..

foreign parts jumped in less than 2 weeks by 15-20% at the parts counter...

if the Mazada had had the rotary engine my advice would have been to take the Mazada the rotarys were good when they ran and were taken care of correctly...

All things being equal, most persons would probably advise you to choose the Mazda and, if all things were equal, I'd probably agree.
A big differential will be how these cars were driven and taken care of. If you have any way to determine if regular maintenance was done on either, that's going to be a big plus. Although the mileage difference is neglible, those extra years on the Mazda will be a big negative if routine oil changes were ignored.

you're somewhat richer than i'm. My first automobile grew to become right into a ninety 8' buick for 6000. besides, i think of you ought to pass with the Ford. real, the fors is around 5000 money extra reasonably-priced,and that i've got pushed a Toyota, its purely extra comfotable as quickly as you force it. regardless of the undeniable fact that, before paying for a automobile on purely those 2 factors (mileage and value), i might seem on the interior, and teh gasoline comsumption etc. as quickly as I first bought my automobile, my mom used to constantly tell me to choose for the single with teh decrease mileage on it, because of the fact they're "meant" to final longer. yet i propose, 82k isnt tht many miles besides. as I pronounced b4, the 5 thousand greenback is a brilliant ingredient. you are able to purchase a 2d automobile with that money (heavily). in case you sense that the Explorer drives properly and all that, i might propose you purchase the Ford. regardless of the undeniable fact that, from my own adventure, Toyotas are lots gentle, yet i think of the 5000 is purely too lots of a distinction to atone for that.
