I'm planning a wedding for October of next year and my colors are black, white, and apple red. The bridesmaids are wearing black dresses with red ribbons tied around the waist, with red shoes and carrying red flowers. Groom and groomsmen are wearing black suits with red vests and red boutionerres (sp?). I'll be carrying a bouquet of flowers in various shades of red.
Just because you are marrying in the fall does NOT mean you have to choose fall colors. And I've never heard that you are to have a certain number of colors. If you want 2, do 2. If you want 3, do 3. It's YOUR day, do what you want, girl!! Personally, I chose to not do fall colors simply because I think that's expected and predictable and I don't want to be the same as most other fall brides. So do your own thing, do what you like and what will make you happy.

If the wedding is in October...and your dress is a champagne color, go with some nice Fall colors for flowers and ribbons.
Something like a nice Rust, Golden Yellow and a Red. Or you could have Chocolate Brown, Mocha and Ivory.
There is no rule of how many colors. Two are acceptable and so is three.
The Chocolate, Mocha, Ivory/Champagne combo would look really nice. The flowers could cover the Mocha/Ivory/Champagne range and have the Chocolate brown ribbons around them.
The colors can be carried over into tablecloths, nakpkins and candles as well. Would look especially nice if wedding/reception are in the evening!

oooo Champagne dress!! BEAUTIFUL!!! MY DRESS IS GOING TO BE THAT COLOR!!!
---------- Anyway back to your question ------------
Lace, Champagne, October, Fall
I suggest you pick colors that will enhance your dress, warm colors, such colors can be rich bold jewel tones!! just *stay away* from shades of green/emerald; blue/sapphire; purple/amytheyst. Those are cool colors and should ONLY be used if the bride is wearing white.
In all honesty these colors would enhance your dress:
Crimson (dark pink*red)
Burgandy (deep red)
Burnt Orange (dark orange)
Brown (heavinly!)
Dark Gold (very very dark yellow)
--------------
For your dress and your month and your color specifically I would stick with brown & Burnt orange; or brown & Crimson/Burgandy. or BROWN and any other color as a trim.
The brown will make your dress stand out; and it incorporates the "Fall" theme. Since its october "orange" seems sane. But any of the other colors will work!!
REMEMBER!! NO BLUE GREEN OR PURPLE!!! IN ANY SHADE!!! PLEASE!!!!!
And of course I wish you all the best -- I'm an expert; I did 2 weddings for friends and they loved them; everyone loved them-- email me at thepenpal@gmail.com for any further questions; I have so much to offer..
And be creative!! FORGET those sites!! They make you into a zombie bride. :(

I would stay away from fall colors - too average in October for me. Maybe a rich navy, silver & white or a garnet (more burgandy than red), cream, & deep rose if you have to have a 3rd color or gold accents.
Try theknots.com = they have great ideas & you can post your information for your guest to see & print (maps, where you are registered, explanation of dress for wedding). It is a great site. Good luck!!

Oh I know just the colors. If you have a bridal party, the colors that are for fall are rusts, browns, emerald greens, olive green, deep beige, wine, cranberry, deep turquoise, golds. Maid of honor can have a different coordinating color than the bridesmaids, or they both can have the same color but the maid of honors dress can be a little lighter. Bouquets would be colors according to what colors are selected for gowns of bridesmaids and maid of honor. Groomsmen could have chocolate brown, midnight blue, midnight black or charcoal grey tux's. Best Man and Groom could be same but maybe with tails. Mother and Mother in Law would select gowns that are coordinating with the color scheme you select. Then of course tablecloths and floral arrangements in reception hall would be coordinating color scheme.

Have you heard of such a thing as a color wheel? I can't remember where I heard about it but it helps you pick colors that flatter YOU.
My husband remembers that it called you a spring, summer, winter or fall person.
We think it might have been something to do with Mary Kay Products centered around a Color Me Beautiful campaign.
Hope this helps

The bridesmaids do no longer ought to adventure your gown. you are able to elect any shade below the rainbow for their clothing and this is going to be nice. Champagne is a impartial shade for my section. evaluate, the season that your wedding ceremony will ensue, the topic which you elect for the marriage to verify their clothing or it could additionally be your renowned shade.

Let each girl pick a warm tone, ie, gold, dk blue, maroon, emerald. You don't have to pick a single color.
