How would you classify Airsoft and paintball if you had to name the type of sport they are. And for those of you that feel they are not sports, i have this to say, if golf and nascar are sports then airsoft and paintball are sports.

Of course they are sports. Any thing that you can play that you don't need a judge to decide the winner is a sport. For example...I can go out with a friend and play paintball and we know who won based on who shot the other first...or who got hit the least or something...However we would need to have a 3rd party tell us who won if we had a cheer-off because we could both argue that we were better!

paintball is rising to be a more recognised sport. the nppl and the psp both have tv coverage, as well as paintball tournements in europe and asia. i think that some day soon, paintball will be considered a sport along with soccer, baseball,football, and hockey.
