The Dalai Lama. He's not helping the spread of AIDS in Africa like the Pope is.

The Dalai Lama. He just preaches peace, tolerance and understanding. His words are spiritual and pure but not religious

Pope John Paul II wrote
+ 14 Encyclicals
+ 15 Apostolic Exhortations
+ 11 Apostolic Constitutions
+ 45 Apostolic Letters
Pope John Paul II delivered thousands of speeches and homilies to all people of the world from the Vatican and during his extensive worldwide travels.
All of these writings and most of the speeches are available on-line at the Vatican website: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/john_paul_ii/index.htm
Pope John Paul II also wrote five books.
I have the greatest respect for the Dalai Lama but personally I have not heard of one thing that he has written or taught.
With love in Christ.

The Dalai Lama. He is less judgemental and I can embrace much of Buddhism, as in its purest form it is atheistic.

If you are asking for opinion, then I say the Dali Lama. He seems to accept a lot more than the Pope and seems less self absorbed.

lol that's like saying what's more useful to the intelligent: glasses or suicide bombs. And the Dalai Lama isn't the suicide bomber in this analogy...
