For the most part in the New Testament, some random person did. Paul. He wrote Romans, Galatians, Thessalonians, Corinthians (including the other 2 corinthians believed to be lost), Ephesians, Colossians, Philippians, Philemon, Timothy and Titus. And co-authored Acts. It is often believed he wrote Hebrews as well.
A lot of the rest of it was edited by the church, one great time around 400 AD when they initially edited the cannon, and a lot of the books written by the Apostles. Much of it was edited again greatly by the Catholic Church around 1000 AD.
Most of the actual Apostles that traveled with Jesus do not have books in the New Testament.
So technically, 2 random people--Paul and John-- wrote almost the entire thing. As far as proof it was real, I can't answer that. It is a real book definitely. Written by man, about religious beliefs. More than that, I can't tell you. It seems you either believe Paul was writting the words of God (and don't wonder why so many books were taken out and edited) or you believe Paul could have been interested in starting a cult following. It's all a question of faith. Kinda an all-or-nothing deal.
Hope this answers your question though.

Many, many people wrote the Bible, Old Test and New. Also, there have been many translations throughout history. the Bible " is" what it is. Some parts have been scientifically proven, some parts are stories handed down throughout history and translated into many different languages. The translations even if done correctly seem to cause an awful lot of confusion. The very age of the book gives rise to more questions than answers. Questions even such as your own. If you are truly curious about it, study it and come to your own conclusion...............................

The proof that it is real is that is never contradicts itself.... though it was written over a period of a few thousand years and by a lot of different people, the same message/theme comes through.
Also, the Bible is in full harmony with history.... events that happened, people that were mentioned in the Bible really existed! There is historical proof.
Basically the Bible is the inspired Word of God..... God has preserved it all through the ages and through it God has the power to change lives!
Read you Bible today.... you will be bless by the messages from the King
God Bless

There is a lot of science behind who actually wrote the bible and if it was directly influenced by God. You have to do your research before you can just declare who wrote what, because most of the gospels were not even written by the names of the gospels. Christianity is an old enough religion that a lot of the scriptures that are said to have made up the old testament never even made it in the book.

I just know. Everything that is within me believes it is real. 10+ years of arthritis in my knees gone in a split second. Or maybe it was my addictions to cigarettes gone in about a 10 mile drive(approx. 10 minutes).
My life over the last decade has changed for the better and through much prayer, it will only improve.

The thing that people seem to be forgetting is that Christians believe in the Bible. We know its the word of God. So what proof do you have that it isn't real?
Then you have to ask yourself are they really good valid reasons, worth going to hell over?

My proof is my faith in the Bible itself. And since the Bible tells me who wrote it and why, I am faithful enough to just trust and not fill my life with questions.

SOME RANDOM PERSON? ROFL ALRIGHT GO READ THE BIBLE AND TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT, CUZ IT WASNT ONE PERSON WHO WROTE THE BIBLE, ALL OF GODS PROPHETS AND JESUS'S DISCIPLES WROTE MANY CHAPTERS, AND GOD TOLD THEM WHAT TO WRITE, AND AFTER THOSE CHAPTERS WERE COMBINED. THATS WHY THERE IS MANY CHAPTERS, JOHN, EXODUS, GENESIS, CORINTHIANS, ETC..
