I was diagnosed with schizophrenia from the Army in 2002 since then I haven't been able to work, I fight with the few friends I have, and even family. It seams everyone wants me to be one exact way or they just totally diss you. What is going on in this country? I am angry at mostly everybody I can't help it. I haven't been in a relationship since 1999 because i think most women are to controlling the reason I got out of my relationship of 6 1/1 years. Why does everyone try to tell everyone else what to do? What is the purpose of this mindless beuracacy, but only pure cruelty? I'm sorry i have lost most if not all confidence. PEACE!

They did it to me. It was out of my control. Systematic torture from friends and military.

I have read over many of your archival answers and questions and yes you do have the characteristics of Paranoid schizophrenia. I am a vet who was discharged in about 1962 with paranoid scizophrenia which I first experienced in 1960 at Air University in Montgomery Alabama. I do onot feel ashamed of this as my service was exemplary; I was an officer.

I also found from your postings that you have a low self esteem and a very well developed will power. You have to get over your sensitivity to criticism of yourself as it goes along with life and particularly schizophrenia. That disorder is little understood even by the medical community and has had a very bad "press". It comes in for a lot of "crazy assesments" by the public. Develop a "thick skin" and let the insults roll off you.

A group of British pstchiatrists recently formed a "Commitee for the Abolition of the Schizophrenic Label," CASL, and propose substituting the designation Dopamine Dysfunction Disorder," DDD, for the scientifically meaningless label schizophrenia because that label serves mainly to "cancel the life" of the person to which it is applied.(www.casl@asylumonline.net/)

I disagree with most of scientific and public opinion about schizophrenia in particular that it is inherited, that they are dangerous, never trustworhty, never work, always have to have medication and are not curable. I think neuoroleptic meds are a great help in getting rid of hallucinations but to do it requires the participatory will of the person who has the disorder. He or she has to actively want to be free of the hallucinations and regard them as unwelcome.

To get out of the trap that there is no cure for schizophrenia paranoia read "Abraham Low's" book "Mental health through will training" available at Amazon.com. Once you have had some success at mentally screaming back at the voices and making them "shut up" you will gain some self esteem and confidence in your fellow man. Remember forgive them and forget them! You have a great future ahead of you.

Good luck, good health, Peace and Love!

The 2 things that are stopping you from living is your anger and your hatred towards ( mainly) women. You may not get why you have so much hate towards women. Your past relationships have set you for you future. You know, I've been in relationships where the man has tried to control me and if I said that I would never be w/ another man because they try to control me, then I would've never met my husband. You are in control of you life and if you say that all women are controlling then in YOUR EYES they will be. You need to really journey through your soul and find out what has caused you sooo much pain. Dig into that sweet and loving voice that is becoming very distant. If you don't find that kind voice w/ in your soul now, you will lose it maybe not for good, but it will be hard to get back. Anger is causing you more pain than you think. You NEED to let it go. It will destroy you!!! Anger will cause disease, it will run you down, and it builds a wall around your soul that not even you can get to. Please look deep into yourself tonight and ask yourself what is it you want out of life? When you decide what it is you want hold on to that feeling and vision every single day. Never forget what it is that you WANT. You will have what you want if you focus on that feeling that it will give you. I believe! Do you? To answer your question about being insane.. If you think you are then you are if you think you're not then you're not. What do you believe.. You need to ask yourself this very soild question! Good luck and let someone into your heart...

Sounds like you have butted head with the establishment and they are currently winning. The problem is powerlessness and your awareness that you really have limited if any personal power, which sucks. This is a very difficult situation if you are disagreeing with everyone you will more than likely make things worse, a lot worse, before anything gets better. Just remember you don't have to agree with someone to get along with them. Do something physical especially if you aren't working, movement tires the body and the mind. Most important stop giving your power to others, every time an other evokes emotion from you it demonstrates that you are not responding but reacting to your dissatisfaction, take control by taking responsibility for you and your choices, let others worry about themselves.

People try to control others all the time. People are complainers and you just have to ignore it. Do what you feel is right. Most people can handle it, but perhaps you are quite stressed out by it because of this diagnosis. Maybe you should admit yourself into a clinic and try to get better, or be put on some medication before you harm yourself.

While I dont like to put labels on people, this is some very valid information you left out of your statement. Are you on medication and do you take it regularly? If you do, does it seem to help? If it doesn't have you considered having your medication adjusted? If you are not on meds, what do you do to try and find positive outlets for your anger? There are many support groups that are also available. You also seem to have lost a great deal of confidence in knowing who you are. I hope it all works out.

Don't loose your confidence! Maybe a little more time by yourself, will help you figure out what it is you want out of life? It doesn't matter what everyone else thinks, to a certain extent. You should make "You" happy, don't worry w/making everyone else happy. If you're happy w/yourself, then that reflects on how other people perceive you! Don't give up!!!! Think about what it is that makes you happy? And do it! Life Is what you make of it!

Sorry buddy, the world doesn't have a solution for people like you yet. Just know that we care, but not enough to change the system.
