Jason,

Cough is a symptom of hundreds, if not thousands of conditions...it could be anything from a mild allergic reaction to tuberculosis.

If you've been coughing for six weeks, you need to be seen by your doctor.

Hope you get to feelin' better, brah.

Well, I'm always coughing every 5 minutes too. I'm generally OK, people joke about my excessive coughing but it isn't really a health hazard to me. It goes away with time (like about some months or maybe a year or so). Anyway I was free of the coughing in January, but later I got a runny nose and the coughing came back... It's very probably just phlegm.
All you do is wait and find a way to spit all that phlegm out. Take halls (the mint in them helps) and drink tea with lemon and honey (it's disgusting, but it really helps). Oh, if you smoke, that'll only make things worse, so quit it.

If you can stomach the taste use Buckleys, for a dry cough buckleys cough syrup if its phlegmy then buckleys expectorant. If you can't stomach buckleys at all then use delysum...last longer only gotta take it twice a day and the taste is way way better. If the cough continues see a doctor though it could be something else that you need prescription medication for. Hope you feel better soon.

I like Halls Honey and Lemon Cough Drops but you shouldn't eat bags of them in a week. Maybe you should go to the doctor.
FEEL BETTER :)

this has happened to me before but eventually it got better. if it feels like you cant breathe properly sometimes maybe you should get your tonsils checked. also, whenever my throat is soar or im coughing i warm up a glass of water for about 1 minute, add 1 spoon of salt and mix it and then gargle it. it really helps

vicks, that swiss cough candy, or some vitamin c might work
another option is to open an orange, cut them out of the peel and into pieces then place them back into the peel. sprinkle some salt and put into steamer for ___ amount of time. then eat... (caution, its probably salty)
