So happy for you! Write down ALL your questions as silly as you might think they are and ask your missionaries. If they can't answer them they will find the answer. I agree with others, I believe there are four lessons now. But, the lessons are thorough. You will know when you are ready to be baptized, the holy spirit will direct you, I promise. You will find so much peace in your life, yes you will have a lot of opposition especially on this sight. Just keep reading the Book Of Mormon and the Bible and other recommended books and YOU Choose The Right.

There used to be six lessons; but now they have been consolidated into four.
Generally, missionaries will have you attend Church twice or three times before baptism so that you can show you are serious about attending after your baptism.
In other words, you could theoretically be baptized on your third Sunday, which could be anywhere from 2-3 weeks after meeting the missionaries.
Depending on how well you grasp the concepts the first time around, you may also wish to have a 'review' lesson where the missionaries can re-explain each principle briefly and clarify any questions you have about the commitments you are making to Christ by being baptized in His name.
Although I would be happy to answer any other questions you may have by e-mail, I do not want to undermine the missionaries, for they are the ones that have been ordained and have the inspiration of the Spirit to help those investigating the Church.

As James said, there used to be six lessons, and now there are 4. This may be expanded depending upon the how the lessons are received. If it takes longer to explain a principle such as the Word of Wisdom, the missionaries will take longer. Some people grasp a concept right away and others need longer. We have an investigator now who absorbs lessons like a sponge.
I don't recommend trying to rush. I took the lessons and then waited 3 months before deciding. I have seen too many people join and then go inactive.

There are 5 lessons. Each one takes about an hour. You need to attend church before you're baptized. Clearly you should get baptized when you have learned the basics, believe them to be true, repented, and are ready to make promises with god. I've seen this happen in a week or less. 2-4 weeks is pretty typical.
Congratulations!
I might warn you....Many people who are approaching this decision feel full of the spirit and believe they are doing the right thing. Satan often will throw everything at you that he can while you approach this event. Not something to be afraid of, but don't be surprised when you face some trials and opposition before your baptism.

It varies as to how long, but there are six. It depends on you and how you want to proceed in large part. When I took them, 14 years ago I told them ahead of time that I wanted to be baptized the following Sunday, so we got them all in in a week, however I'm told that usually doesn't happen. I think normal time is several weeks to several months. Depending on your background and how much you know already, and your exposure to false LDS information it just varies.
As for your "fully converted" phrase, please know that just because your baptized doesn't mean you're fully converted. That's a process that usually takes at least a life time. It's not a switch that can be flipped at the end of the sixth lesson. Being baptized just puts you on the path toward being fully converted. Just take it a step at a time.

hey, don't listen to what other people say ^
when you are converted and you want to be baptised you need to study and do lessons so that you are grounded on a firm faith system. Then you are baptised.
The question is.... is this the true church of God??? Is it Biblically founded.... Is it's foundation and all teaching only from the Bible?
I recommend that you search out everthing before you make your choice... this could decide your destiny
God Bless

They have 6 lessons and it has taken me years to get through them. It has to do with the missionaries not being able to answer some significant questions about doctrine or history.

If you read the book of Acts, you will notice that the people who got saved were immediately baptized. It is more important for you to obey God than for you to try to figure out why you should obey God. If you have kids and you tell them what to do, they should obey. They don't need to take lessons. Also, make sure you are saved before you get baptized. You can be saved in a few seconds.
1. Realize that you are a sinner. Me, you, everyone is. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
2. Realize that there is a payment for sin. "But the fearful, and the unbelieving, the abominable, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.'
3. Realize that God sent His Son to make Salvation available to you. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
4. Receive Jesus Christ as your savior. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."
