someone hit my friends car going 50 on a residental street. she was pulling out of the driveway and the other guy was yelling at someone out the window. he t-boned her and tried 2 drive away, he couldn't and then she found out that he has no drivers licence, no insurance, ( no assets either.. ) and the car was not registered in his name.. she called the police and filled the paperwork, but if he cant pay.. what happens?

they probably have a court date. tell her to show up and press charges, they will loose their licenses and the judge will also determine the charge, and the punishment for it. but if she doesn't show they probably will just throw it out as a no show, and they won't have to pay anything. good luck.

If he can't pay sue him. In many states he would be hauled off to jail on the spot. If your insurance covers it, make a claim and let your insurance company sue him. That's the way the system works ....sue,sue, sue

get a lawyer and sue him personally, that mean if he ever wins a lotto or gets money from a death or a job he'll have to pay the amount that the courts says he has to pay after he gets out of jail

your insurance company will take care of that all your need is
to take your car to the body shop tell them who is your insurance company and that all you have to do.
