Hey, congrats on your slowcooker, I just bought one too and I already fell in love with it. My first and successful dish was beef stew, SO EASY! Here is a site where I have tried most of their recipes and all came out so yummy (my kids are picky eaters and there were no left-overs). I don't plan on using stovetop or oven ever again. Goodluck!

Buy some beef stew meat and brown it in a pan for color. Pour two bottles of BBQ sauce in the slow cooker with some diced onion. Add the browned stew meat. Cook for a couple hours then shred the meat and have delicious BBQ beef sandwiches.

Put in a roast, potatoes, baby carrots, onions, celery, some seasoning and enough water that it just covers it all and cook on low for about 8 hours.
Put some ribs in and enough b-b-q sauce to cover them and cook on low for about 8 hours.
They are real easy and the meat just falls apart.
Google slow cooker recipes too.

Put in a pork loin and about half a bottle of your favorite bbq sauce, cook on low for 8 hours or so. Pull (shred) the meat with 2 forks. If it's a bit dry, add more bbq sauce, or some vinegar and hot pepper sauce--Tabasco, Texas Pete, store brand.
