Don't tell me to ask the Social Security Administration. That would be like asking the FBI how to rob a bank.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

How to apply for a new number

You must apply in person at any Social Security office. We will help you complete a statement explaining why you need a new number and an application for a new number.

You will need to present:

* Evidence documenting the harassment or abuse;
* Your current Social Security number;
* Original documents establishing your:
o U.S. citizenship or immigration status;
o Age;
o Identity; and
o Evidence of your legal name change if you have changed your name.

Also, we will need to see original documents showing you have custody of any children for whom you are requesting new numbers and documentation proving their U.S. citizenship, ages and identities.

Why do you need a new Social Security number? If you have lost your card call and explain it. How is it like asking the FBI how to rob a bank? Somehow there seems to me more to this than just needing a new card.

The SSA is the only agency that assigns Social security numbers. No one else can. You will just have to steal someones, but if you are successful in that, all the money that you earn under that number will get the credit for your taxes. And when you are retirement age you get nothing. Might want to rethink your goal.

You cant. You are stuck with the social security number which has been assigned to you for the rest of your life, even if your identity has been stolen.

Sorry, but I don't think you can. It's just not possible. Your stuck with it. Forever. Unless, of course, you move to the other side of the world, become a citizen and legally change your name....
