Umm im not quite sure but its proibably best that you rest you muscels because you do need to give them some rest. But if you really don't wanna miss a day of excersizing im sure then you could do things really REALLY lightly because you don't want to pull something. Also maybe after your work out you should strech more because maybe thats why your feeling sore.

You didn't say if you were working the same muscle or a different muscle. Don't work the same muscle two days in a row. You have to give your muscles time to heal. If its still sore when you go to work on it again, stretch it real good before you start the workout. Do very light weights and usually within a few minutes the muscles are lose and not as sore.
Another good remedy is, when you finish working out try and take a hot shower/bath or go in the steam room for about 15/20 minutes. I am not as sore after I do either or both the night after I workout.
Good luck, I hope this helped.

Yes. Make sure to stretch to decrease your chances for injuries or over use injuries. Split up your workouts so that you are not doing the same thing day after day. Cross train, use the stair climber, elliptical, go walking, etc. For weight training you should always allow at least 24 hours rest before working the same muscles. Most often avid exercisers will do split routines, upper body on day 1 and lower body on day 2. You can add any cardio you would like into this mix to get a great toned look. And remember your diet is important, eat healthy.

The best way to go about it is to work each muscle group out once per week. Your muscles get stronger when your not at the gym believe it or not. For instance work your arms out monday your legs tuesday your shoulders wednesday and so on that way each body part gets a much needed week recovery after a hard workout. As for the sore muscles its just lactic acid build up in your muscles because they are not used to the amount of work their getting. After a week or two that will go away. Doing them once a week each will give you better results and you wont have to worry about working out sore muscles.

YES! You have to!
Give your body a break once or twice a week (but don't go more than 2 days without working out).
The soreness is good, and you don't have to go light the next day.

as long as your muscles are sore from use and not pulled or injured in any way, working out will actually make them feel better. just make sure you warm up and stretch before and after exercising to avoid injury.
