Never. Kids need to learn respect and in this day and age, they certainly aren't getting any better.

NEVER! You're NOT their friend and no matter how hard you try, you never will be. Allowing your child to cross the line with cussing, is disrespectful to everyone; and you're the ONLY person your child truly looks up to. They're going to cuss yes, but if you allow them to do it in your presense, you're setting the bar quite low for them. Please do yourself (and all parents) a favor and not do this. If not for your kids sake, then for ours.

Not in my home--ever! Even if they are fifty five. It's extremely disrespectful and ignorant to swear. Cussing doesn't make anyone sound any smarter or make their life any better so I don't see the reason why people even do it.

Um, never?? Is never an option? I won't tolerate cussing from my kids at any age. It makes them sound stupid, crude, and it's disrespectful to the person they're talking to, about, and God.
It's not acceptable in a song or when you're mad. If you're mad (or your child is), you need to learn a way to deal with your frustration other than cussing!

Long after they've become an adult! If a kid cusses in the presence of his/her parents, then it shows they have not been taught to respect their parents!

I really do not think it is, but it is your choice, just don't complain when your child calls you a b**** or tells you to shut the f*** up. In my opinion cursing is disrespectful I know we all do it at one time or another but its not something you should allow as if it were watching a pg 13 movie or something,

i asked my mom if i could say curse words if they were in songs at age 14, but i never used them on a regular basis. i did however curse out my brother when we got in fights and arguements. I'm 20 now and i still don't curse unless i'm mad or if its in a song. maybe you could teach your child that curse words only make the sentence longer, if you take out the curse word the sentence is the same with less effort. some kids curse in front of friends, but i would never let my child curse in front of me it's disrespectful. i get on my boyfriend if he curses. there really is no need for it. teach your children that they can still say the same thing without all the bad words, don't give them permission to do it, especially not in front of you.

Why would you want to? I know that from a kid's perspective it looks and sounds cool, but in all reality, it isn't. You should encourage them to use appropriate words to convey their thoughts and feelings. Those that have "potty-mouths" don't often get the respect they so desire. If you want respect, you have to show respect. Do so by speaking intelligently.

Hello--it's not okay--ever--they often learn it at school-and hopefully--it is then the parents job to help them quickly unlearn it--That is--if the parents are on the ball and alert and want to raise their kids with some class...
