Why, yes it would.

It will be interesting to see how the disappearance of millions of people is explained.

Rapture: If the chosen ones were gone what difference would it make how long it took?

(Matthew 24:21-22) 21 for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. 22 In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.

(2 Peter 3:5-7) 5 For, according to their wish, this fact escapes their notice, that there were heavens from of old and an earth standing compactly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and by those [means] the world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water. 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.
In the same way as the flood? the globe was still here only the wicked were gone.

(2 Peter 3:13) 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.
A cleansed earth.

It's cynics like you who drive everyone crazy. If you'd taken the time to do some research, you would have essentially found the answer to your own question. If by the rapture, you are referring to the coming of the Antichrist when all believers will be taken to Heaven, then you need to read Revelations. The whole idea is that there will be havoc on earth and that believers will be saved. I highly doubt there will be many people on planes or buses or in cars when THAT happens. That should be the least of your concerns. By the way, have you ever heard of a spell checker? You misspelled literally, disappear, and happens. If you want any sort of respect from anyone, let alone the people whose faith you seek to undermine, you would do best to start checking your spelling, grammar, and punctuation. And maybe doing some research to support your argument instead of trying to poke holes in someone else's faith.

The righteous are not going to be taken off the earth, this is our home for all eternity, Psalms 37:11,29, and it the wicked that are to be cut off from the earth,Psalms 37:34. The only disaster on earth is when Jesus comes back and destroys all wickedness, so it's a disaster for the wicked, God has never allowed the righteous to be destroyed with the wicked. The 144,000 anointed will be going to heaven as they die naturally, but not anything like Christendom's so called rapture which isn't in the Bible.

Yes, this will spell out disaster on earth. The rapture marks the beginning of the tribulation period, where life as you now know it will cease to exist. A few plane crashes and interstate accidents will be the least of the things to come.

Not to worry, God knows the exact moment that the rapture will take place and knows what will be happening when it does. He has a plan and in the end it will all be for his glory.

Yes it would. But, those in the disaster are already looking at a worse fate and not to put to fine a point on it already rejected God. Also, many have demanded a sign and I think that should qualify. Children, not of the age of accountability, will also be gone. So no one innocent will be hurt.

While I do not know how everything will take place and the order and such I think the "Left Behind" series give a pretty good picture of the chaos caused.

Some people believe that the chaos caused by such global disasters will be the reason that the Antichrist is able to take control. They theorize that in the wake of multiple plane crashes, vehicle accidents, and other disasters, the Antichrist will step in with a plan to restore order.

It is going to be a disaster anyway to the ones who are not ready to go with the LORD because fire will be falling this time.

Zephaniah 1:18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

Yep. Read some of the websites out there. This is exactly what it means. In fact, some who believe in this sort of thing are happy about it!

So yes, this rapture - which is pretty unbibical in the first place - will create great suffering for all those who don't believe.

Nice, huh?

...By that time, friend, it will be the end - the last thought will be someone's airplane or bus - it will be the end of time, and judgment soon to follow.
...Better get right with God while you can - believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
(Acts 16:31)
...Whosoever will, may come.

Either you believe God's word is true or you don't. The only limits God has are the ones that men and women put on Him.
