just wire one sub to each output like this http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/graphics/infolib/carlib/subs/1_4ohmDVC_2ohm.gif youll get 500 per sub and it falls right in to your specs for your amp i got mine wired like that

the best way is to wire the subs in parallel so each sub shows 2 ohms then hook each sub to a seperate channel 2 ohm stereo at 2 ohms is 500 watts per spkr the 1000 watts x 1 is max not rms so its 500 watts rms bridged at 4 ohms. 500 x2 at 2 ohms is more than 500 x 1 at 4 ohms

WOW! ^^^^

Here's the RIGHT way.

This presents a 4 ohm load on the amp when bridged. Since both subs are 500 each and the amp is 1000, your good to go. Each subs watts get added.

you can wire it like so
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=1&woofer_imp=4
for 2 ohm and hook one sub to one channel, i think that will be too much power, so dont do that way, the best bet is like so
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=2&woofer_imp=4
to get a 4ohm load, and hook it up bridged to your amp
this is the best way
