I just got my letter from a school that I applied to. I got put on the waiting list. I know I still have a chance of getting in, but I don't know how much of a chance. If there are 200 kids accepted, and 25 are put on the wait list. What do you think the chances are that someone in the top five on the wait list will be accepted.

I honestly don't know, but I'm in the exact same boat so I feel for you. Depending on what kind of program you're applying for (B.A., MBA, J.D.) you might be able to look up the admission stats from the previous year. For instance, if you were applying to law school, LSAC.org tells you how many people applied, how many were accepted, and how many matriculated, as well as wait lists. Good luck.

At this point, there's nothing you can do but to wait, if there's a chance you might get in, then keep a positive mental attitude, knowing that you're going to be accepted. so let faith takes over.

don't worry about those stuff. worry about how smartly you present yourself, how confidently you answer their questions, and how convincing your reasons are (if it's an interview). and study hard if you have to seat through an entrance exam :) gd luck...
