Not really- how r u supposed to get t know him on-line? U can't see his face or eyes so u won't know if he's telling u the truth about things/himself. Of course meeting him in person is no quarentee he'd be tellin the truth either, but u'd have a better chance. It's just not a good idea, he could be a pedifile, or worse, a rapist. Don't take the risk, meet some nice boy in school, church, or have a friend introduce u to someone. Whatever u do, DO NOT take off someplace to meet him!! That's just too dangerous.

Nope, waste of time... there is too much about body language that could really put you off if you ever meet him and then it would just be disappointing. Why would you want a boyfriend you can't even hang out with like a normal person, do you really want that tying you down when there are real people all around you?? If you can't meet this guy, its pretty pointless!

In replacement for a real boyfriend, no. It's not really worth it, because while you may have a really good emotional relationship, for such a relationship to evolve, you do need some face-to-face interaction. Its the same reason long-distance relationships rarely work.

But if its just for fun, why not? As long as you're sure they are who they say they are.. online rapists and all that.

Unless you plan to have a relationship outside of the internet (and be careful meeting someone off the net also) I would have to say no. Emotionally they aren't good for you in my experience. Here is someone you share everything with, and people who aren't face to face, tend to listen more and be more sympathetic. In person theres more distractions, people are sympathetic and listen but in a much different sometimes less fullfilling way. It is great to have online friends, they help to boost your self-esteem and give you encouragement, but relationships should be saved for a person to person (real world) type of thing. Trust me, much better.

There's nothing wrong with having an on-line boyfriend. Who knows... it could be the start of a wonderful relationship. But you should always be cautious and on your guard coz' you still don't know who you really are dealing with. Don't reveal too much about yourself.

Have fun, but be carefull. OK?

Uh... well theres always that lingering question if it's a 80 year old man, or a killer, or rapist! But hey, he could just be who he says he is, so have fun! And maybe it could be the man of your dreams?

NOOOO its very unsafe, especially if you hadnt even met him yet, if he was a friend you actually knew personally for awile then it would be different, you never know what kind of freaks that are out there

Seems kind of limited.
I don't know if it's as "good" as having a boyfriend in your neighborhood.
