No vinegar needs to be refrigerated. It's too acid to support bacterial growth. Good thing, as I buy white and apple cider vinegars by the gallons for pickling, and that would take up way too much room in my fridge.

No, as long as the acid content in the vinegar is 5% or higher. To find out, check the label on the bottle and check the shelf life which should be at least 5 years. Best to store it with the cap tightly closed and not in direct sunlight.
