Hey Paris, interesting that your asking instead of answering.

It's a LOT like it was at the Getty when it opened. Remember? Parking at the GO is free, but the lot is so small, the city decided to just make it off limits and shuttle everyone in, since demand to see the improved Observatory would be very high. So, the Observatory is free, but the shuttle is $8, and you have to make reservations. However, the Planetarium show, which has always been extra, is another $7 adults/$5 kids. As OC1999 mentioned, you can park at Hollywood and Highland, or at the zoo. My choice would be the zoo.

As of now and probably for the rest of 2007 reservations will be needed.

We got reservations and parked at Hollywood and Highland complex to catch the shuttle. If you get your ticket validated at the center you can get 4 hours of parking for 2 dollars. It was pretty busy when we went on a weekend but not sure what it will be like in 2 months. But the weekdays will probably be less busy.

I think they also have a shuttle from the Zoo parking lot
The tickets for the Shuttle were $4 bucks but did not include the planetarium show.

Yeah I hear ya babes. I thought I would wait until the fall after the summer tourist season is over. Then call and make reservations after Labor day.
