tell him to go back to Mexico and do it the right way through his immigrations department. or go to our immigrations office and ask for the paper work. but their not going to just hand it over like candy.

The only way he can get a green card is if he marries a US citizen and is then petitioned by the spouse. Another way is if there is an amnesty granted but this is so unpredictable.
With the way immigration laws are being enforced at this point in time, the probability of being hired by a company and being petitioned by that company is pretty slim. If it hasn't happened yet these last 9 years, then it's not likely to happen.

An easy solution, though not the one I'm sure you're looking for would be for him to offer his services to the military. Pending he can make a security clearence check, chances are good the military will let him serve a term, and grant him access to citizenship.
I see it all the time in the military.

go back to mexico and do it legally or he isn't welcome.
you know, i saw on cnn today, soledad was saying that the wall was keeping illegal aliens from going BACK to mexico. I LAUGHED when i heard that, because that is just blatantly false and meant to make people change their minds about the fence.
just thought i would add an interesting bit.

He needs to start that process in Mexico. You can start it here but it won't be easy. He should have started doing this years ago.............9/11 kind of screwed him.

Pull your visa out of your wallet, put him in a box and ship him back home. Go w/him if you'll be too lonely w/o him.
